Uzbekistan intends to regularly export fruits and vegetables to Russian Primorye


The corresponding intentions are enshrined in a joint Memorandum between the government of the Russian region and the largest exporter of fruits and vegetables in Uzbekistan – Uzbekozikovkatholding.

A Memorandum is signed between the government of Primorsky Krai of the Russian Federation and the management of the holding company Uzbekozikovkatholding on regular deliveries of fruits and vegetables from Uzbekistan to the retail chains of Primorye.

According to the press service of the Government of the Primorsky Territory, the relevant agreements enshrined in the Memorandum were reached during the visit of the Russian delegation to Tashkent. “During the working trip, the delegation of Primorye met with businessmen of the country, exporters of vegetables and fruits. The parties discussed the supply of fresh and dried products from Uzbekistan to the region. Representatives of the Russian region examined the production base, storage facilities and logistics centers of the Tashkent region of Uzbekistan,” the message says.

The Deputy Chairman of the Government of Primorye noted that during the trip it was possible to reach agreement on a number of issues.

“We met with a large number of agricultural producers of products traditional for Uzbekistan. For those representatives of the business and retail chains of Primorye who took part in the trip, they were able to discuss direct deliveries. We also plan to hold joint expositions on the territory of Vladivostok and Tashkent – products that we are ready to export to Uzbekistan, and goods that they plan to supply to us. The first such event in the capital of the Far East will take place this year, ”said Konstantin Shestakov, Deputy Prime Minister of the Primorsky Territory.
