To date, imported tomato produced in Morocco and Spain is offered for sale at a price of $ 1.07-1.80 / kg

This week, the demand for greenhouse tomatoes in the Polish market continued to decline rapidly, according to EastFruit project analysts. According to market operators, trading in the greenhouse tomato segment continued to disappoint Polish traders, with major retailers making major purchases, however, in small quantities to maintain the product range. In addition, the supply of tomatoes on the market was more than sufficient due to supplies from Morocco and Spain.

In these circumstances, sellers were forced to revise prices for greenhouse tomatoes downward. So, today imported tomato from Morocco and Spain is offered for sale at a price of $ 1.07-1.80 / kg, which is on average 7% cheaper than at the end of last working week.

It is worth noting that today greenhouse tomato in Poland already costs an average of 29% cheaper than at the end of March 2019. At the same time, market operators do not exclude that prices for these products will continue to decline, since the supply of tomato is quite stable, and the pace of sales leaves much to be desired.
