In Nevinnomyssk, in the Stavropol Territory, a large horticultural project is being implemented on the territory of priority social and economic development created in the city.

The investment project is implemented by the Stavropol Fruit Valley company. A super-intensive apple orchard has already been laid here. In total, the area of ​​garden plantings will be 277 hectares. As part of this project, worth over 1 billion rubles, it is planned to create 67 jobs, the RF Ministry of Agriculture writes.

On the site it is planned to grow not only apples, but also other fruit crops. Recently completed the laying of the first peach orchard in the region. Its area will be 2 hectares. Very soon, the first almond garden will appear in the Stavropol Territory. Experts note that all planting material for new gardens was grown in the region. Previously, about 200 thousand seedlings were produced here per year, this year 5 million seedlings are already offered to consumers. In the garden near Nevinnomyssk, pears and cherries will also be grown.

Gardening is one of the priority areas for the development of the agro-industrial complex of the Stavropol Territory. Since 2012, the area of ​​fruit plantations in agricultural enterprises and peasant (farmer) enterprises of the Stavropol Territory has increased by 26% – from 4.3 to 5.8 thousand ha. This year it is planned to lay about 900 hectares of gardens.
