The first batch of three tons of peaches was delivered to the shops of the city of Novosibirsk (Russia) from the Republic of Uzbekistan.

Fruits arrived in Novosibirsk last week, the Uzbekistan News portal reported, citing the press service of the Regional Office of Rosselkhoznadzor.

Peaches, considered to be products of high phytosanitary risk, were imported to one of the city temporary storage warehouses. Moreover, they passed the necessary control from inspectors of the regional department of the Rosselkhoznadzor. An examination of fruit was also conducted by the Novosibirsk branch of FSBI TsNMVL, which confirmed the safety of Uzbek products.

The entire batch has already gone on sale to outlets in Novosibirsk.

Earlier EastFruit reported that as of May 25 this year, 15.7 thousand tons of sweet cherry worth more than $ 30 million were exported from Uzbekistan.

This season, the main buyer of Uzbek sweet cherries is Kazakhstan, 7,700 tons were delivered to this country. 4,551 tons of cherries were exported to the Russian Federation and 3,320 tons to Kyrgyzstan. Statistics show that the largest share of Uzbek cherry is exported to these three countries. In addition, about 200 tons of sweet cherry were delivered to Belarus, the UAE, Poland, China, South Korea, Turkmenistan and Thailand.
