Tajikistan and Russia plan to optimize the logistics of supplies of fruit and vegetable products

Currently, goods from Tajikistan are mainly transported to Russian buyers through the territories of two countries: Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan.

Tajikistan announced its intention to increase the supply of crop products in Russia, bypassing the territory of transit countries, reports the correspondent of KazakhZerno.kz.

This issue was discussed at a meeting of the Rosselkhoznadzor with representatives of the Tajik side. As it was noted, today cargo from Tajikistan is mainly transported to Russian buyers through the territories of two countries: Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan. How to build logistics in a new way will be considered at the Intergovernmental Commission.

In addition, Tajikistan asks to cancel the ban introduced several years ago on the import of fruits, vegetables, dried fruits and other products into the Russian Federation in hand luggage and passenger luggage. The reason for this step in the Russian Federation was then called the identification of dangerous pests in such “parcels”.

The Rosselkhoznadzor said that they can consider this issue, provided that Tajikistan guarantees the safety of such products.
