How will demand, supply and prices in the berry sector change?

EastFruit invites you to participate in the International online conference “Berries and covid19: the impact on prices, production and trade.”

The conference was organized by the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) with the support of the Ukrainian Fruit and Vegetable Association (UPOA), the Federation of Agricultural Producers of Moldova FARM and the media agency Sapienza.

Conference speakers are leading representatives of the berry business from Ukraine, Moldova, Georgia, Russia, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan. They will discuss how coronavirus and the global economic crisis will affect prices, production, processing, export and import of fresh and frozen berries. Garden strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, blackberries, honeysuckle and other berry crops – how will the demand and supply of these berries change? How will problems with labor shortages and logistics be addressed?

The conference will be held on the basis of the Zoom application. Participation in it is free, but the number of participants is limited. During the event, all participants will be able to ask speakers questions. Conference recordings will later be available on EastFruit’s YouTube channel as well.
