Agroforvard completes the construction of a complex for storage, sorting and deep processing of potatoes

The Moscow-based enterprise Agroforward is completing the construction of a complex for storing, sorting and deep processing potatoes in the territory of the urban district of Shatura (Moscow Region). The construction readiness of the facility is 90%, Agro.ru reports citing the words of the Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Moscow Region Andrei Razin.

“A complex is being built for storing and sorting potatoes with a one-time storage capacity of 16 thousand tons and a production capacity of 50 thousand tons of potato products per year,” the minister said.

Agroforvard produces elite seed potatoes of the Dutch varieties on the territory of the Moscow Region, grows wheat, rapeseed and oats. Andrei Razin also said that today the company has 3 potato storages with a total storage capacity of about 7 thousand tons with a sorting and packaging workshop.

The new facility will be commissioned in the fourth quarter of 2020. The volume of investments in the construction of the warehouse will be 200 million rubles.
