Over the first half of the year, agrarians of the Khatlon region of Tajikistan increased their exports by more than 7,000 tons

Of the total exports, 80,472.8 tons are vegetables, 80,421.8 tons are onions, 59.8 tons are melons

As of July 1, 2020, the Khatlon region of Tajikistan exported 82,876.6 tons of agricultural products, NIAT Khovar was informed in the Department of Agriculture of the region.

“14414.6 tons were exported by road, 68462 tons – by rail. The annual plan for the export of agricultural products has been completed by 92.1%, ”the source said.

Compared to last year, exports increased by 7193.8 tons.

Of the total volume of exported products, 80,472.8 tons are vegetables, 80,421.8 tons are onions, 59.8 tons are melons and gourds, 2308.0 tons are fruits and 36.0 tons are other products.

Over the past 6 months, products grown by farmers of the Khatlon region were exported to the Russian Federation, Lithuania, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan.

The agricultural export process continues.

Earlier EastFruit said that in the Khatlon region they are developing their own processing of grown vegetables and fruits. For this purpose, an enterprise for drying and preserving fruits and vegetables is being built and will soon be commissioned in the rural jamoat of Dusti in the Jaihong district.
