The webinar will discuss new technological solutions, innovations, robotization and automation of farming, as well as the ecology of thinking and consumption

The Italian company Hexagro Urban Farming has introduced the technology of a modular, automated, closed smart farm that allows you to grow fresh herbs using aeroponics at any time of the year, says Agri-gator.

The smart farm is equipped with the latest IoT technologies, is fully automated, and thanks to its modular multi-level structure allows more efficient use of the surrounding space.

Already on April 27, during the Sapienza web-conference “City Farming – the future of our time”, the founder of Hexagro, Felipe Hernández, will talk about the innovative hexagonal covered city-farm “Living Farming Tree”.

Participants in the webinar will be able to learn how to grow more vegetables and salads in an urban environment, in a limited space, and with 90% less water.

“An automated enclosed farm is a system of the future that can provide healthy enough for everyone,” says Felipe Hernandez, founder of Hexagro.

During the Sapienza webinar “City Farming – the future of our time”, new technological solutions, innovations, robotics and automation of farming, as well as the ecology of thinking and consumption will be discussed.

“The situation with the Covid-19 pandemic exposed the need for urban development. Urban pharming is a relatively new concept, although modern technologies of aeroponics, hydroponics, fogoponics are already actively entering the lives of modern farmers in cities. In my opinion, the government, construction companies and architects should rethink the importance of farming in cities and take this into account when building modern residential and business complexes, ”said Kateryna Zvereva, Director for Development of the Ukrainian Fruit and Vegetable Association (UPOA).

“City farms can replace traditional farms, examples of this transformation we see in many countries and cities with a high percentage of urbanization,” says one of the speakers at the webinar Valery Yakovenko, co-founder of Drone.ua.

“Despite the constant population growth and the projected hunger, we still face a global shortage of human resources. What solution can autonomous robots of farmers have for these tasks,” Valery Yakovenko asks, promising to give answers to them during the webinar on monday.

Everyone can join the webinar – the event is free.
