Kazakhstan leads in the procurement of grapes grown in the orchards of Uzbekistan – 22.8 thousand tons

As of September 1, 2020, more than 51 thousand tons of grapes worth $ 46.8 million were sent for export from the Republic of Uzbekistan, which is 10.4 thousand tons more than in the same period last year, Review.uz reports.

According to the State Statistics Committee of Uzbekistan, the largest share of exported grapes falls on Fergana (15.3 thousand tons), Tashkent (9.6 thousand tons), Namangan (7.2 thousand tons), Khorezm (3.6 thousand tons) and Kashkadarya. (3.1 thousand tons).

According to the report, Kazakhstan is the leader in the procurement of grapes grown in the orchards of Uzbekistan – 22.8 thousand tons. In addition, 20.6 thousand tons of grapes were exported to the Russian Federation and 7.1 thousand tons to the Kyrgyz Republic.

EastFruit previously said that in early September, the first batch of Uzbek dried fruits was delivered to the Western International Market in the capital of Great Britain as part of a signed contract between GardenCells, a Samarkand region enterprise, and Vita Plus Ltd, a British company.
