In the onion market in Russia, the upward trend in prices continues, according to analysts of the APK-Inform: Vegetables and Fruits project. According to key market players, stocks of high-quality onions in Russian farms are rapidly declining, while the demand for these products remains rush, which allows producers to raise prices for high-quality onions almost daily.

So, today onions from local farms in the main production regions of Russia enter the market no less than 28-40 rubles / kg ($ 0.37-0.53 / kg), which is on average 36% more expensive than a week earlier. Manufacturers report that amid a general decline in stocks, demand for products continues to grow, while the supply shortage of high quality onions is evident.

Note that at the moment, prices on the Russian onion market are already on average 48% higher than in the same period last year. However, most large farms intend to continue to raise prices, given the seasonal reduction in supply.
