More than 2.9 thousand hectares of new gardens are planned to be set up in Tajikistan this year. According to Avesta.Tj, citing data from the crop production department of the country’s Ministry of Agriculture, by the beginning of the third decade of February, 424.1 hectares of new orchards and vineyards were destroyed, which is 14.6% of the forecast plan.

In particular, the agrarians of the Khatlon region plan to break 1 thousand 126 hectares of new orchards and vineyards. To date, this plan in the specified area has been completed by 21.8%. This figure in the Sughd region is 255 hectares, or 38.8%.

The Ministry of Agriculture also reported that in the republic sowing spring crops was produced on an area of ​​13,132 ha, which is 12% of the forecast. To date, potatoes have been planted on an area of ​​5 thousand 555 ha, which is 87% of the plan.

Also, vegetables were planted on an area of ​​16 thousand 428 hectares, which is 107% of the planned plan, which is 916 hectares more than in the same period last year.
