TOaboutThe canning enterprises of Isfara (Sughd region), a city that is one of the leaders in the production of canned goods in Tajikistan, plan to increase production this year.

According to the NIAT “Khovar” in the department of industry and energy of the administration of Isfara, in general, in the city today there are 5 canning enterprises and 12 enterprises for the processing and packaging of dried fruits.

“In 2019, canning enterprises of the city produced 3 million 612.4 thousand cans of various pickles and compotes. An increase in production in 2020 will provide the country’s domestic market with this type of product, as well as send it for export, ”the source said.

As explained in the department of industry and energy, the increase in production will be due to the high yield of fruits and vegetables this season.

For 5 months of 2020, the canning enterprise of Subhi Watan Isfara LLC produced 316.9 thousand cans of canned food. In general, in 2020 it is planned to produce more than 2.5 million cans of canned food.

Along with the preparation of production lines and equipment repair, the company previously purchased the required amount of containers, raw materials, and signed a number of contracts for the purchase of fruits and vegetables with a number of dekhkan farms.

Today, the company employs 45 people. With the launch of the enterprise in the near future at full capacity, the number of employees will be increased to 70 people.

At the other canning enterprise of Isfara LLC “Visol-Isfara”, where 23 people are provided with work, preparatory work has also already been completed, agreements have been signed with the Kishovarzoni Navgil dekhkan farm and the Isfara branch of the Institute for Vegetable and Horticulture for the purchase of apricots and tomatoes. In 2019, the company produced more than 260 thousand cans of canned food; this season, production will be increased to 300 thousand.

Three other canning enterprises in the city are completing preparatory work for the city: Isfara Canning Plant OJSC, a processing plant named after Z. Khasanov and LLC Kulkand.
