Potatoes, carrots and onions were in greatest demand among buyers last week.

Over the past week, more than 250 new users have joined the audience of the most popular fruit and vegetable trading group EastFruit Trade Platform, while the total number of participants has exceeded 10,550! Let’s analyze who and what sold on this and other EastFruit sites during this period.

The geography of active participants expanded last week. Sale announcements were posted by representatives of Turkey, Serbia and Azerbaijan. In total, 15 countries sold their products. Traditionally, most of the proposals came from Russian participants. The five active countries also included Uzbekistan, Ukraine, Belarus and Kyrgyzstan.

In the vegetable segment, in terms of the number of advertisements placed, as in the previous week, potatoes were in the lead, the supply of which increased. Every eighth ad placed in the group is a sale of potatoes. Advertisements for the sale of onions and carrots were also popular. After a long absence, offers of cauliflower and radish appeared.

In the fruit and berry segment, apple sales lead, the supply of which has been growing for the fifth week in a row. There were ads for the sale of apples from Turkey and Azerbaijan. Grapes, watermelons and melons were also actively sold last week. The supply of nuts has increased. Hazelnuts were offered by Georgian producers, walnuts were offered by participants from Uzbekistan and Russia. There was an advertisement for the sale of pine nuts. An exporter from Serbia was selling sweet corn.

Potatoes, carrots and onions were in the greatest demand among buyers last week. In the fruit segment, as in the previous week, announcements for the purchase of apples and watermelons prevailed. Participants from Belarus carried out the purchase of chokeberry.

In the EastFruit Fruittechnology technology group, there were many proposals for the sale of fertilizers last week. The supply of seedlings has also increased in anticipation of the season for laying orchards and berry fields. Participants offered seedlings of currant, chokeberry and blackberry (Chester Thornless variety for $ 3). We also offered integrated solutions for storing berries and stone fruits from Insolar-Kholod LLC and hydrocoolers for preliminary cooling of fruit and vegetable products from MAS Systems. LLC “Kenza-Wood” (Russia) offered stakes rounded, debarked and soaked in an autoclave under pressure with an antiseptic for setting up intensive orchards, vineyards and growing berry crops.

An increase in the supply of potatoes in Russia led to a decrease in sales prices by 1-3 rubles / kg. Tomatoes and garlic also fell in price. The largest increase in prices last week was demonstrated by cucumbers and carrots. Beets and onions also rose in price. In the fruit and berry segment, prices decreased only for plums and apples. Apple prices fell under the pressure of growing supply.

Almost all types of tomato have fallen in price on the Ukrainian trading floors in the vegetable segment. The prices for potatoes and celery fell. The growth of prices for cucumbers continued – over the week, prices for them increased by 7-9 UAH / kg. The price of cauliflower also increased significantly in Ukraine. Prices for beets, garlic and “Belozerka” pepper rose slightly. Dill and parsley rose in price at the green market.

In the fruit and berry segment, nectarine, grapes and watermelons became cheaper. After two weeks of growth, the price of raspberries decreased due to the beginning of the sales season for remontant raspberries. Plums and pears have risen in price. Prices for other commodity items remained at the level of the previous week.

Apples, pears and grapes have risen in price in Uzbekistan. Prices for melons and plums went down. The first price offers of quince and persimmon appeared. In the vegetable segment, sellers have reduced the selling prices for carrots, cabbage, eggplants and garlic. Due to the reduction in supply, prices for tomatoes, cucumbers and bell peppers went up. The selling price of beets also increased.

A little about prices in other countries. Apples from Moldova were offered at $ 0.5, from Azerbaijan at $ 2.7 per kg. For Georgian hazelnuts they asked for $ 5.9 per kg. Onions from Kazakhstan were sold at $ 0.2 per kg. In Kyrgyzstan: watermelon – 12 rubles / kg, pear – 35-40 rubles / kg, apple – 25-30 rubles / kg.
