A total of 17 small greenhouses in the Imomi Azam farm

In the last March days, farmers from the Imomi Azam dekhkan farm in the Navbahor district of Kushoniyon district of Khatlon region started selling products grown in greenhouses. The first batches of tomatoes, cucumbers, eggplant, hot pepper, young garlic and herbs were sent to consumers.

In total, the farm, which is headed by Davlater Bedimogov, has 17 small greenhouses. They occupy a total area of ​​1 hectare, and farmers have been successfully growing tomatoes, cucumbers, eggplants, hot peppers, early potatoes, cauliflower and early cabbage, and greens there for more than a year. The grown products are mainly supplied to the markets of the Khatlon region and to the trading network of the city of Dushanbe.

In total, 13 people are engaged in permanent work in the greenhouse sector of the farm; about 20 more people are invited to seasonal work during the harvest season. A special dining room is functioning for workers, providing them with hot meals.

In addition to greenhouse products, the farm grows vegetables in the open field, mainly onions for its subsequent export.

In the nearest plans of the economy is the construction of a limonaria for growing citrus fruits in them. The climate of the region contributes to this, and farmers who grow lemons in their personal plots already know the features of fruit care.
