Citrus farming has become one of the most profitable activities of the farm “Zargar” of the same name rural jamoat of Kushoniyon district. This was made possible thanks to the functioning of a large and one of the most modern limonaria in the Khatlon region.

This lemonarium was built on an area of ​​1 hectare and 1 million somoni ($ 98.04 thousand) was allocated for its construction. In the limonaria, 20 people are engaged in permanent work; 400 lemon trees were planted in four rows. Timely care for them, the use of modern technologies and working methods allows farmers to achieve high rates. So, the harvest 2019-2020. was tall enough. Farmers collected from each tree an average of 50 kg of high-quality, distinguished by excellent taste qualities of Meyer lemons. Some of the products were sold on the local market, and some were exported to the Russian Federation and Uzbekistan.

Farmers grow early potatoes between rows of lemon trees. By the end of April, they intend to harvest a tuber crop and put it on the consumer market.

Meanwhile, the time for lemons to bloom. Farmers hope this year to get no less yield and even greater income, as the demand for lemons is increasing everywhere.
