In May, a total of 186.6 tons of melon were exported. This volume falls on the share of fresh melons grown in the current year.

Today, Uzbek melon is in high demand in the markets of Russia, the Kyrgyz Republic, Kazakhstan and Tajikistan.

According to the State Statistics Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan, as of June 1, 2020, 159.0 tons of melon were exported to Russia. This is 154.5 tons more than the same period last year.

Moreover, export was carried out to the markets of 9 foreign countries. Among them, the largest volume of Uzbek apricot was exported to Kazakhstan – 6 thousand tons for $ 4.92 million, Russia -3.6 thousand tons for $ 3.47 million, and Kyrgyzstan -1.2 thousand tons for $ 2.16.
