18.5 tons of cherry plums were harvested from an area of ​​2 hectares

In the Stavropol Territory (Russia), cherry plum collection has been completed. In the region, its production is carried out by OOO Plodoobedinenie Sady Stavropolya of the Mineralovodsky GO. 18.5 tons of fruits were harvested from an area of ​​2 hectares, with a yield of 93 c / ha. This figure is 4 tons higher compared to last year (2019 – 14.5 tons). According to the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation, such varieties of cherry plums are cultivated in the region: “Kometa” and “Pionerskaya”.

Cherry plum is a low-calorie food that contains a lot of useful vitamins and minerals. With its help, you can improve digestion and activate metabolic processes.

– The development of horticulture is one of the priority areas for the development of the regional agro-industrial complex. In the spring of this year, horticultural enterprises laid 525 hectares of gardens, including 161 hectares of nurseries. This year, over 700 million rubles have been allocated to support horticulture, including 162.1 million rubles from the regional budget, – said Vyacheslav Dryiger, Deputy Minister of Agriculture of the Stavropol Territory.
