The first shipment from Ferghana was a consignment of 50 tons of cherries sent to South Korea

The airport of Fergana (Uzbekistan), after a 17-year break, began sending goods abroad, reports Podrobno.uz.

The opening of direct air cargo from the Ferghana region will help to prevent difficulties arising in the process of transporting fresh fruit from the Ferghana region to the Tashkent international airport through the Kamchik pass, as well as reduce transportation costs, which lead to higher prices for export products.

For the successful shipment of goods to the Ferghana International Airport, special equipment was used from Namangan used for loading goods on airplanes, as well as special Euro pallets from Tashkent International Airport. At the same time, the airport’s cargo department employees were trained in the use of special equipment and loading cargo onto airplanes.

Thus, now the entrepreneurs with the inter-regional cargo transportation have disappeared, they can directly export goods from the valley, and not first bring them to Tashkent.
