At the end of 2020, the Rosselkhoznadzor will open a point for the export of fresh and processed products to the Russian Federation in Sharaf, Rashidovsky District, Jizzakh Region (Uzbekistan). This was reported by the website “News of Uzbekistan”.

Here, the forces of the Uzbek-Russian joint venture VMV-NRC Agrologistics LLC will build a modern agrology complex. Due to foreign direct investment, refrigerators with a capacity of 10 thousand tons and free warehouses will be equipped, equipment for shock freezing, processing, calibration, sorting, packaging, drying of fruits and vegetables will be installed.

All customs, banking, logistics, express laboratories, phytosanitary, veterinary, sanitary and epidemiological, certification and other services will be provided on the spot on a one-stop basis. And for prompt and unhindered export of products to Russia on the territory of the agrology complex, a Rosselkhoznadzor point will open.

Construction and installation of equipment will be conducted in 2020–2021. Commissioning is scheduled for the IV quarter of 2021. As part of the project, tax and customs benefits apply.

At present, according to the State Statistics Committee, Russia is in third place in the consumption of Uzbek fruits and vegetables after Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan. According to official statistics, for eleven months of the current year, Kyrgyzstan accumulated 27.5% of the export of fruits and vegetables from Uzbekistan (in value terms). In January-November 2019, 118.3 thousand tons of fruits and vegetables worth $ 312.5 million were shipped to the neighboring republic.

The share of Kazakhstan amounted to 23.7% in value terms of the republican export of vegetables, fruits and berries. According to statistics, in January-November of this year, 520.7 thousand tons of fruit and vegetable products worth $ 269.9 million were shipped to Kazakhstani consumers.

For the eleven months, 233.1 thousand tons of fruits and vegetables worth $ 151.1 million (13.3% of republican exports) were exported to the Russian Federation.

According to the State Statistics Committee, since the beginning of this year, the volume of export of fruits and vegetables in physical terms amounted to more than 1,294.2 thousand tons and, in value terms, $ 1,136.9 million (the growth rate, compared to the same period last year, amounted to 112 , 6% and 137.9%). Of these, more than 744.8 thousand tons of vegetables were exported in the amount of $ 514.2 million, as well as 549.4 thousand tons of fruits and berries in the amount of $ 622.7 million (growth rate in value terms, compared to the same period last year , respectively, amounted to 176% and 116.9%).

Due to the fact that our management pays considerable attention to the development of agriculture and horticulture, the quality and volume of exported goods are increasing from year to year. So, in January-November 2019, the share of fruits and vegetables in the total export amounted to 7%.
