On December 21, in the Khuroson district of the Khatlon region of the Republic of Tajikistan, the creation of 150 hectares of a new vineyard was launched. This was reported by the website of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan.

A new vineyard is being created by shareholders in the region’s farms to increase the volume of grape exports. On an area of ​​150 hectares, divided into 8 plots, 10 grape varieties were planted, including 48 hectares of the Galaba variety, 31 hectares of Husainii siyoh, 20 hectares of Husainii safed, 2 hectares of Husainii gulobi, 2 hectares of Cardinal ”, 25 hectares of“ Shokhona ”, 6 hectares of“ Kishmishi safed ”, 8 hectares of“ Kishmishi siёh ”, 3 hectares of“ Zarifi ”and 5 hectares of“ Toifi ”, in total – 42 thousand grape shrubs.

Earlier seedlings were tested by scientists of the Academy of Agricultural Sciences of the Republic of Tajikistan and are suitable for the climate of the Khuroson region, in particular, this area.

On three sections of the garden, parking and parking are created, and along with providing good conditions for winegrowers, they are also equipped with all kinds of agricultural machinery and equipment.

With the creation of a new vineyard, about 150 local residents will be provided with work. Agricultural mechanisms and equipment for creating the vineyard were provided by the Tochikagroleasing State Unitary Enterprise, and in the future, upon request from winegrowers, all necessary mechanisms and equipment will also be provided.

Within the framework of the “Year of the Development of the Village, Tourism and Folk Crafts” and with the aim of developing the agro-tourism sector, exhibition areas with an area of ​​5 hectares were created on two sites. According to the plan, 10 varieties of the best domestic and foreign grape varieties will be planted in these corners.

For storage of the crop and its further export in each farm, refrigeration facilities will be created in each farm. For this, 1 hectare of land has been allocated.

The vineyard is created using the experience of farmers in Tursunzade, including the head of the farm “Vatan” Nemata Usmonova. To provide the vineyard with irrigation water, a separate line was drawn with a special Tabiat-2 well 3.5 km long. Previously, the existing station was completely repaired, and two new units were also installed.

According to forecasts by experts in the field of horticulture and viticulture, in 3-4 years the new vineyard will bring a yield of 4.5 to 5 thousand tons.
