Active export of onions to foreign countries is carried out, in particular, by farmers of the Sughd region.

Onion is one of the first vegetable crops in Tajikistan whose export begins in early June. Today, onions are exported to foreign markets, in particular, from the Sughd region. It will last several weeks and is organized by the export and logistics centers of the Jabbor of the Rasulovsky district.

Currently, there are 8 such centers in the area. Its employees daily sort the products for export. As of June 10, farmers of the region have already exported more than 30.8 thousand tons of onions to the market of the Russian Federation.

At the same time, local entrepreneurs imported high-quality onions from the Khatlon region into the region with the help of 3 export logistics centers by rail. Currently, the work of these centers is well organized, and onion export will continue until the end of August. By this time, a late-onion crop grown by Jabbor farmers in the Rasulovsky district will be prepared for harvest.

Currently, farmers in the region have planted onions on an area of ​​541 hectares, effectively using all the opportunities to get a quality crop. At the same time, they hope that this year, as in the previous ones, the yield will be about 600-700 centners per hectare.
