Currently, 3 more wagons with onions (180 tons) have been prepared for shipment.

1733 tons of agricultural and other goods were exported this year by rail from the Khatlon region (Republic of Tajikistan). This was reported by NIAT “Khovar” with reference to the data of the executive body of state power of the Khatlon region.

In particular, 19 wagons with onions (1,140 tons), 1 wagon of carrots (49 tons) and 8 wagons with cement (544) tons were exported.

Products from Khatlon region are delivered to other regions of the country, as well as to the Russian Federation, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan.

Currently, 3 more wagons with onions (180 tons) have been prepared for shipment.

As the source explained, in order to develop trade, entrepreneurs are offered benefits from rail transport.

For example, there are 60% discounts on cement transportation from Yavan station to Amuzang station on semi-trailers, 40% discounts on boxcars and 60% discounts on transportation of onions and perishable agricultural products from all stations in the region.

At the same time, to attract domestic entrepreneurs and companies, 40% discounts are offered on all types of goods exported from the Khatlon region and imported into the Khatlon region.

In particular, when transporting transit goods through the territory of the Republic of Uzbekistan, a 40% discount is offered for all types of goods in freight cars and personal cars – by 35%.
