According to East-Fruit, this week the potato market in Poland again, a decline in already critically low prices was recorded. At the end of the reporting period, potatoes on the Polish market could be purchased from $ 0.06 / kg, and the maximum prices for quality products did not exceed $ 0.12 / kg. In the segment of carrots in Poland, the situation was more stable, and prices dipped slightly to $ 0.18-0.26 / kg.

Meanwhile, the price of potatoes rose somewhat in Russia, having increased in price by 8-20% over the week to $ 0.16-0.24 / kg. We also note that now potatoes on the Russian market are already more than a third more expensive than in the same period last year, and price trends are further fueled by rather active demand during the storage period and rumors about a possible shortage of high-quality potatoes in the current season. Carrot market in Of Russia at the same time, it was characterized by a slight decrease in prices only in the segment of low quality products, which they were ready to sell already from $ 0.12 / kg. Carrots of above average quality were still sold at prices reaching $ 0.20 / kg.

IN Ukraine the decline in carrot prices was more pronounced. The already abundant supply of these products on the Ukrainian market, against the background of the ongoing harvesting campaign, led to the fact that the average price of carrots in Ukraine fell to $ 0.14 / kg, and prices for quality products did not exceed $ 0.18 / kg. Meanwhile, the segment of potatoes in Ukraine has changed little, and local sellers still offered these products at $ 0.14-0.25 / kg.

In the region of Central Asia, it was in the potato segment that the most significant changes were recorded, while the carrot market here remained stable so far. So, in Uzbekistan potatoes fell quite significantly by the end of the week to $ 0.21-0.27 / kg, and in Tajikistan rose slightly on average to $ 0.22 / kg. Carrots on the Tajik market were still offered on average at $ 0.13 / kg, and in the Uzbek market at $ 0.19 / kg.

The highest prices for carrots were still recorded in Moldova, and they were at least one and a half times more expensive than in the next country in terms of this indicator. Carrots, like a week earlier, were offered on the Moldovan market at $ 0.36-0.42 / kg. The potato segment in Moldova remained practically unchanged over the current week: here it was still sold at $ 0.21-0.24 / kg.

Similarly, there were practically no significant changes in the markets. Georgia and Belarus, except for the increase in imports of potatoes in the first. So, in Georgia, due to the temporary off-season in the segment of domestic potatoes, wholesale companies switched to supplying products from Turkey. Nevertheless, the price range for potatoes in Georgia has not changed much: $ 0.20-0.26 / kg. Carrots on the Georgian market, like a week earlier, were offered at $ 0.21-0.30 / kg. In Belarus, potatoes and carrots were still available at $ 0.15-0.19 / kg and $ 0.13-0.19 / kg, respectively.
