This week, greenhouse plants in Poland began to raise prices for tomatoes, according to analysts at the EastFruit project. According to the manufacturers themselves, the reason for the current situation is active demand in conditions of insufficient supply.

Today, Polish mills are already declaring prices for tomatoes in the range of $ 0.89-1.02 / kg, which is on average 37% more expensive than at the end of the last working week. According to market operators, the decrease in the supply of greenhouse tomatoes contributes to the rise in prices, since due to the cold snap, the samples in the factories have significantly dropped. At the same time, these products are in high demand both in the domestic market and on the part of exporters, which also has a positive effect on the price level.
