Today, the country supplies fruits and vegetables to 80 countries.

Moldovan authorities expect to increase fruit exports to Russia after inspections of local farms by Rosselkhoznadzor experts, the National Food Safety Agency reports.

Today, the country supplies fruits and vegetables to 80 countries. Only last year plums, apples and grapes sent abroad for a total amount of over a billion dollars. Export growth for some items exceeded 30%. The most popular Moldovan crop was in Romania, Poland and Bulgaria. Modawan apples and grapes also appeared this year on Indian shelves.

The country began to master and new cultures. So, last year, Moldova for the first time acted as a supplier of berries: cranberries, currants and blackberries.
